It was like this from the beginning. The company was created in 1971 as the great dream of Manuel Sanchez Cano, a Spaniard from a family of farmers. At the age of 12, he set off on the journey that would make him a natural-born entrepreneur. For over 40 years, alongside his children and beloved wife, he has achieved a great dream: to create joys and delights.
In critical moments, Manuel always said, “Some challenges are for our own good”. It was through failures, persistence, effort and a lot of learning that the results were achieved. Entrepreneurship is about dreaming and resilience.
And remembering that it all came from artisanal origins. Manuel and his wife prepared the recipes in the kitchen, while their children wrapped the sweets and cycled through the streets of little Múrcia. Our history was made out of a dream and love of family!
They soon created chewing gum, jelly sweets, marshmallows and tube sweets. The first products were tutti-frutti flavoured, the taste of childhood. In the 1990s the classic Dentures became part of the family’s fun and games.
In the 1980s the delicacies conquered Europe. And in the 1990s they arrived in Brazil. We bring joy across the oceans and create magical moments in more than 100 countries, with more than 1,000 products and over 90,000 tonnes of sweets produced around the world. The dream made gummy sweets a global retail category.
